Tokiha Mai from Mai-HiME.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this pic :o

I developed a new way of painting that I think I'll be using from now on, so I don't lose the original feel of the preliminary sketch, since that's a major problem for me. :)

I'd say this would be the 1st pic in the Mai-HiME series for me, since I know I can do better on Natsuki <_< I'll be redoing that one.

:update: alright, upped the contrast and made a few minor tweaks.

Agreed. I think rad is a pretty good description of this picture. :D Like, wow.

The only thing I would suggest is upping the contrast a little. If she has a bunch of billowing flames behind her, I think you can afford to go a little bit brighter with the backlighting and such.

Woooh! Again with the awesome lighting ~ i agree that you can make the contrast even more dramatic to make the atmosphere more ANGRY GRRRR! :XD: ~ this new painting technique suits you ~ this particular pic has more movement and life. I love how the hair is slightly windswept too ^_^

Ah yeah, I added the flames in at the last minute so I didn't really take the effect on the figure into account >_< Thanks alot! :D

Thanks :3 though I noticed that alot of my girls tend to look angry xD should probably move away from that, lest people start interpreting my taste in women >_>
This pic was particularly influenced by very last scene at the end of episode 2, where she's turning in the fire and the ending song comes on >_< sooo gooood
